7:30pm at Highland Baptist Activity Center. Dave Lamberts and Jack Seay will show slides and tell about the National Narrow Gauge Convention in Portland, Oregon. We will also elect the Y2K Executive Committee. December 6 will be the Christmas party.
Dave Lamberts, Ron Kutch, Ron Warner, Margie O'Neill and Rip Maples are confirmed nominees. Several others have not yet been confirmed and will be announced at the meeting. Brad Jones will be Deadwood. Will Jensen will complete this year as secretary.

Jerry has found a better position at St. Michaels' Hospital in Texarkana, (TX and LA). He has been a member with us for eight years, and has been our treasurer for seven years and secretary this past year.
Texarkana is Bisected by the UP, double-track mainline from LA to Chicago. North to South is the KC Southern. There are at least 2 shortlines: Kiamichi and NE Texas RR. GE has a car body rebuild shop there.
"I enjoyed my time here and appreciate the club giving me the opportunity to be on the board and trusting me with the club's money . I will be back for the LSR Convention." Jerry will be leaving Wednesday morning this week, and start work next Monday.
Come and enjoy model railroading with others: LMRA is meeting up at the Texas Tech University UC. The plan is to start setting up on Friday, Oct 22 at 8:00 am. We hope to have the layout up and running by about 3pm. If you want to come and only work on the railroad you can. If you want to enter the modeling contest or listen to Brian Kampschroer, CMP, Dir., Convention, Trade Show & Meeting Dept., National Model Railroad Association, Inc. or any of the Hubcon events, you need to work for 16 hours or pay the $30 dollars entry fee. This is a chance to come exercise your trains and help expand the interest of model railroading. If you did not sign the sheet at the last (Oct) meeting and you would like to bring your module(s) or run your trains / work the room, please call Will Jensen at 724-6032 or email at wrjensen@yahoo.com. by Wednesday, Oct 20th. Included is a schedule of events and the rules for judging of the contest. Any questions, please call Will.
