Our love and prayers go to the family of Javier Rosales (our 2007 president). His wife, Hope Mata Rosales was born on Aug. 31, 1972, in Lubbock. She went to be with her Lord and Savior on Dec. 6, 2007. Hope graduated from Monterey in 1990 and served as a Lance Corporal in the Marine Corps. She is survived by her husband, Javier; son, Calvin; daughter, Cricket; mother and father, Mary and Raymond Mata; three sisters; three brothers; six nieces; and 12 nephews. (from the Lubbock A.J.)
